Scale Up Counsel ("we," "our," and/or "us") values the privacy of individuals who use our websites and related services (collectively, our "Services").   • LinkedIn or other social media handles or URLs
  • Resume data, industry affiliation, salary history or preferences
  • For those members who receive payouts we may ask for Payment data and tax compliance information
  • Usage Information
  • For employers, we may collect information about your open positions, hiring preferences, process and submission protocols
  • Referral source information

B. Communication Information You Provide to Us.

Communications. If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you, such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of a message or attachments that you may send to us, and other information you choose to provide. If you subscribe to our newsletter, then we will collect certain information from you, such as your email address.

When we send you emails, we may track whether you open them to learn how to deliver a better customer experience and improve our Services.

C. Information We Collect When You Use Our Services.

Location Information. We may infer your general location information, for example by using your internet protocol (IP) address.

Device Information. We receive information about the device and software you use to access our Services, including IP address, web browser type, operating system version, phone carrier and manufacturer, application installations, device identifiers, mobile advertising identifiers, and push notification tokens.

We may share resume data and contact information with an employer in order for the employer to consider a candidate. While we use discretion, we cannot guarantee that the prospective employer will maintain full confidentiality.
  • To manage your account: to manage your registration as a user of the Service. The personal data you provide can give you access to different functionalities of the Service that are available to you as a registered user.
  • For the performance of a contract: the development, compliance and undertaking of the purchase contract for the products, items or services you have purchased or of any other contract with us through the Service.
  • To contact you: To contact you by email, telephone calls, SMS, chat service, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication, such as a mobile application's push notifications regarding updates or informative communications related to the functionalities, products or contracted services, including the security updates, when necessary or reasonable for their implementation.
  • To pay you: if you are eligible for payouts as a member of Scale Up Counsel, we may use your information to effectuate payments to you and make tax compliance filings as required.
  • To provide you with news, special offers and general information about other goods, services and events which we offer that are similar to those that you have already used or enquired about unless you have opted not to receive such information.
  • To manage your requests: To attend and manage your requests to us.
  • For business transfers: We may use your information to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal data held by us about our Service users is among the assets transferred.

How We Disclose the Information We Collect

Business Partners. We may share your information with our business partners to offer you certain products, services or promotions.

With Other Users. When you share personal information or otherwise interact in the public areas with other users, such information may be viewed by all users and may be publicly distributed outside. If you interact with other users or register through a third-party social media service, your contacts on the third-party social media service may see your name, profile, pictures and description of your activity. Similarly, other users will be able to view descriptions of your activity, communicate with you and view your profile.

Marketing Communications. You can unsubscribe from our promotional emails via the link provided in the emails. Even if you opt out of receiving promotional messages from us, you will continue to receive administrative messages from us.

We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from children under 13 years of age, and no part of our Service(s) is directed to children. International Visitors

Our Services are hosted in the United States ("U.S") and intended for visitors located within the U.S. If you choose to use the Services from the European Union or other regions of the world with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. law, then please note that you are transferring your personal information outside of those regions to the U.S. for storage and processing.
