Description

Role details

An elite San Francisco boutique with over 50 years of history is seeking a civil litigation associate with 2 to 3 years of meaningful experience to join its Litigation Department.

About the Firm Established for over 50 years, this elite San Francisco-based legal boutique delivers the heavyweight capabilities of a global powerhouse paired with the high-touch service of a premium practice. Operating with a nationwide reach, the firm commands a sophisticated client roster that mirrors the largest international practices, regularly advising global tech giants, publicly traded corporations, Wall Street-caliber investment funds, and ultra-high-net-worth family offices in high-stakes advocacy and complex corporate counsel.

Unlike the high-churn, bureaucratic environment of traditional BigLaw, the firm intentionally maintains a tight, collaborative roster of just over 70 specialized attorneys, resulting in remarkably low turnover and multi-decade client relationships. Their distinct structural advantage lies in an exceptionally high partner-to-associate ratio, ensuring clients receive direct, day-to-day strategic counsel from seasoned partners rather than having complex matters handed off entirely to junior associates.

About the Role The attorney will work on a variety of substantive litigation matters including complex litigation, trust disputes, corporate and partnership disputes, contract disputes, and intellectual property disputes.

Meaningful litigation experience includes drafting pleadings and motions, drafting and responding to written discovery, and managing deadlines and case schedules. Successful candidates will have demonstrably superior legal research and writing skills and superior academic credentials from nationally recognized law schools.

Successful attorneys can look forward to a rewarding practice where enthusiasm, hard work, community involvement, and legal acumen truly are appreciated.

Compensation

The anticipated annual base salary range is $230,000 to $245,000. The final salary offered will be dependent on years and type of experience, education, and other factors.
